Netflix No Rules (continual of the previous post)

The second action they took was to incite feedback. What this means is, that they made the employees give feedback to each other actively. An example this book gives is quite interesting. It takes place in a meeting. They are discussing about the direction of the company, and the man with most authority in the room, everyone's superior, stands up and starts stating his own opinion. His opinion wasn't very appealing, but the meeting finishes without anyone saying anything. When the man pleasantly starts heading to his room, an employee far from his class(rank would you call it), expresses his feeling about how his idea wasn't quite right for the company. The boss doesn't get mad or anything and gives him a "thank you". By giving feedback you'll notice the flaws of your idea. You will have to think about the feedback that somebody gave you and decide if you were right or wrong. Most of the time you'll have the opportunity to give another thought on your idea and improve in some way. This is why Netflix incited to give feedback upon others. However, this can't be any feedback, but it has to be based on whether it will be positive for the opponent, and it will needed to be given in a positive way.

I think this is very good for improving companies, studies, and even relationships. Although it might be frustrating receiving feedback sometimes, but if you accept in and think about it for a little, it will definitely develop a better understanding of things. I really enjoy the idea.
