  The story starts with a doctor going into a shop. In the shop had a poster that wrote “elephant man”. The doctor got curious about this man, and told the shopkeeper if he was able to meet him. When, he goes in the room where this creature was, it had a faul smell and the man was very dirty. The creature had big skin bags on his face and on his right side of his body. The left side was very clear and his hand was like a woman’s. The doctor was interested in this creature and brought him to the hospital that he works at. At the end of the day he brought him back to the shop. He tries visiting him the next daybut he was gone. 2 years later the elephant man comes to the hospital. Apparently the shopkeeper left him in another country so he came back to the hospital. Everyone was afraid of him but, as the time pasted nobody screamed seeing him and he made a lot of friends. I thought this story was going to a happy ending but, it was a shocker.

 This book has 3 short stories in it so, I’ll introduce one of them. The title is “The Speckled Band”.   One very early morning, a lady comes running to see us. This lady was in her thirties but she had grey hair. She explains that her sister died 2 years ago. She says, one night they were getting ready for bed then, her sister asked if she hears a whistle at midnight. The lady says she doesn’t hear anything and they go to bed in their separate rooms. That night her sister dies but nobody knew how she died. The lady is afraid that she might die or get killed so Holmes says he’ll got o the house and look for clues. He finds clues and in the end he find out what killed her sister.

 The year is 2522 and the story first takes in a spaceship OM-45. Kiah, a member of the spaceship, was looking at numbers on the computer. This showed what was happening with AOL (Artificial Ozon Layer). The numbers said that a hole over Europe was getting bigger. Kiah and Rilla, another member of the ship, went to the captain to tell her about the hole. The captain was a small woman with a fat face. The captain didn’t want to talk about the topic because, when the former captain talked about the AOL to the Earth Commander He was sent to the moon to make a city, and she didn’t want to go to the moon.The 2 young members go to earth on their own to go to a friend, Zadak, that way help them. They get an appointment with him and try to talk about the AOL. But Zadak didn’t want to listen to them because he had his own problems with his own country. So, they go talk to the Earth Commander themselves. Things escalate from there. I think the author was trying to make it a happy ending but, I t

 This story starts by a man, Bill, driving his car in a desert-like place, maybe somewhere in Australia. Then he sees something on the road. The man stops the car, then slowly goes near the object. It was a human that was looking tired and dirty. The man was wearing an expensive suit and nice shoes but, they were both very old. He helps the mysterious man and bring him to his house. Bills wife lets the man sleep in a bed but, bot Bill and his wife had a bad feeling about him so, they call a flying doctor. The flying doctor comes in about an hour and tells them that the man doesn’t have any broken bones and any fever but will bring him to a hospital. They get the man on the plane and the two head to the hospital. While they were on the plane, the man finally starts to speak and, he says that he doesn’t want to be here and jumps off the plane. You won’t believe what happens after that.

  One morning Sally is in bed and her phone rings. She picks up her phone and it is Andrew, her boyfriend, and says to her that today is an important evening, so he wants her to wear the blue skirt that he likes. Sally wakes up, eats breakfast and goes to work by train. Everyone is on their phones on the train, this is an important content that will connect the dots later in the story. Sally talks with her colleagues about Andrew wanting her to wear the blue skirt but she tells them that it was dirty so she can’t wear it. One of her friend suggests to go buy a skirt on her lunch break. They go to a shop on their lunch break and, Sally buys a red skirt because she like red better. After that Sally goes for a coffee. She sits down and a handsome man was sitting next to her. The accidently drops her bag with her skirt in and picks it up and he leaves the café. The story gets more interesting from here so I would like you to read the book to know what happens.  

  One day, two police officers were having a conversation. They were talking about a thief act around a store that was happening every day. First, they suspect a jogger. This man was running near the store almost every day. The police officers go into a building to spy on the jogger to check if he does anything suspicious. After a while, the jogger comes and bumps into an old lady. She loses balance and falls to the ground. The jogger takes the old woman’s arm and helps her get up. Then he takes off and starts running again. The officers run up to the lady and ask if she’s fine and tells her to check her money. Unfortunately, the lady didn’t have her money, so the police officers catch the jogger and check if he had the money, but he didn’t have any on him. After that, they suspect the people that were around the lady after she fell down. But just by looking at the video of the store they couldn’t conclude who the criminal was.   This story is about a girl student called Sally. Sally works at Happy Hills, a place with a lot of exciting things, on her holidays. One day Sally was given the job to be Connie Cat, a character that isn’t very interesting. On that day a famous singer called Zapp comes to Happy Hills. Everyone is excited and takes many pictures and have a good time. Zapp even sings for them and says he has a new song while showing a CD. He says this CD is very important. Sally takes a break for a little and, right when she tries to go back to work, staff members come running in the room. They say that Zapp’s CD is gone. Everyone starts looking for the CD and Zapp is very angry. Even the police work on the problem. In the end Sally notices something that lead to the reason why the CD is gone.   I forgot to read the title of the book so I couldn’t guess who took the CD and, it was interesting.  

  This story starts with a man, Colin, looking for a job. Unfortunately, everywhere he goes, he can’t get employed. Then he finds a flyer that is looking for a strong, brave, fast person. Colin goes to the place where this job is and, meets an old man. Colin asks what sort of job he is applying for and, the old man says that he is going to help him with vampire hunting. Colin accepts and, on the way out of the building he meets a girl called Claudia. She was another person that was applying for the job. They meet at the supermarket, the place where the old man says to go to, and start looking for a man that is working for the vampire…   The plot was a little easy to guess but I liked the story.
